Tabaimo Response

Tabaimo’s art is quite unique. In my opinion, I think that she is very successful at showing the viewers what she means to communicate with them. Using different kinds of art media enables her to have different varieties in her art, such as the bathroom scene, the buildings, the flowers, and even the music. Tabaimo’s passion for music makes her want to make the music and show it rather than listening to it. Her animation creates the mood of her story, including the mood of color and silence. She connects her arts with her sensation, just like she explained the things under her skin moving.
Tabaimo uses an entire building to show her work, which makes a lot of space for her to acquire. I think that she compares many things and connect them together. For example, she explains that public bathrooms and the Internet are similar because each person has his own private place in a public place. I don’t usually see these kind of artists, but I think that she is very unique because she creates art combined with a story and mood in an animation.

I can say that she is successful because she illustrates what she wants to show, however I have trouble in getting the meaning, and also because some of them make me scared to look at. I think that she should change the music style and the creepiness of chopping up people and sinking babies in the toilet. Other than that it is an excellent form of art.

Project 3

Project 3

Project 3 Critique

What ideas did you incorporate into the piece?
I included the idea of scanning myself with sunglasses and using the scan in order to put my patters into a pattern so that it could become like my scan's details

Do you think the piece is successful? Why or why not?
I think yes, because I have set up all the patterns the I needed in order to illustrate my new pattern image to be my scan

 Self-Evaluation

- What skills did you learn through working on this piece? How did you employ these
skills in your work?
I learned how to use the Blob Brush Tool in order to make my patterns arranged/

- What challenges did you face?
I faced the challenge of the Paint Brush accidentally, struggled with color matching and making the image clear to identify, and how to show details in my image

- Did you find a suitable resolution—if yes, what? If no, what would you change?
Yes, I deleted a lot of objects and used the Blob Brush Tool and that fixed the object's issue. Then I edited the patterns to be in different colors, and that helped a lot.

- What revisions would your make if you were to do the work a second time?
I would make better colored patterns, and probably add a little more details.
