Project 6 Critique Form
What ideas did you incorporate into the piece?
In incorporated the idea of how humans will be in the future. With the concept of corrupt society, the future is horrible and broken with no rights.
Do you think the piece is successful? Why or why not?
Yes, I did all the necessary scenes and edits to make the video understandable.
What skills did you learn through working on this piece? How did you employ these
skills in your work?
I didn't necessarily learn that much because everything I did I already knew how to do.
What challenges did you face?
I faced the challenge of placing the sound effects at the exact point they are supposed to be.
Did you find a suitable resolution—if yes, what? If no, what would you change?
Yes, I think that the video includes all the necessary components, especially the special effects.
What revisions would your make if you were to do the work a second time?
I would make more explosions and plot to make it more awesome.

Project 4 Critique Form
What ideas did you incorporate into the piece?
I incorporated the idea of a person who volunteered to be a nurse in Africa to help with Ebola. However when the person goes there, he gets infected. Therefore he is brought back to the US and is miraculously cured. After arriving home, the state tells him that he is not allowed to leave for 21 days just in case for a mistake with the doctor's results.
Do you think the piece is successful? Why or why not?
Yes, it shows the whole story clearly. I think that everyone could understand it.
What skills did you learn through working on this piece? How did you employ these
skills in your work?
I learned Photoshop and batching pictures. I also learned how to do a timeline with a frame-rate.
What challenges did you face?
The batching process took a while because I did not save while recording. Also the frame rate was off a little because I forgot to click add sequence.
- Did you find a suitable resolution—if yes, what? If no, what would you change?
Yes I found one by going online to check the problem. It was the batching.
What revisions would your make if you were to do the work a second time?
I would add more pictures in order to make a better frame rate for the video.

Research: Part 1/5 - Nadir Afonso
Nadir Afonso (December 4, 1920 – December 11, 2013)
is a Portuguese geometric abstractionist painter. He studied painting in Paris
and became one of the pioneers of Kinetic art. His art is based on observation
and perception, not imagination. Afonso uses geometry and the bases of
perceiving angles and circles into his art. His first piece or art was the
painting he drew when he was 4, which was a circle. At that time, he began
moving toward observed objects. Afonso started going from an inspiration period
to another in 1949. After his period or learning, he moved back to his hometown
in order to be isolated and focus in his arts. By his 50s, he was recognized
internationally in Paris and New York.
I think that Afonso’s art shows us the feeling of geometry
in life. Construction of geometry is always the base of things in everyday life.
Trees are a stick and a circle, the building are rectangles, and posters are
squares. I think that he influences these kinds of shapes because he likes
using perfect shapes and apply it to his art. The feeling of environment show
his inspirations of places in the world. There are paintings that show holy
sites, buildings, cities, and sunsets.
I think that his art is strong because it makes many people
feel like everything is fitting where it belongs. It could also help people
with OCD. I would suggest putting more colors and definitely applying a background
color because they are almost white all the time. I find the variety of colors in the paintings powerful because it makes each object distinguishable from the other.
